Nuova occupazione di studenti e autonomi
Nuovo blitz di studenti e autonomi che la scorsa settimana erano stati sgomberati dalla residenza universitaria di via Verdi 15, occupata da gennaio: questa mattina intorno alle 8,30 un gruppo di ragazzi è entrato al piano terra di uno stabile in disuso di fronte all’ufficio tasse dell’università di Torino, in vicolo Benevello, e lo ha occupato.

Verdi15Occupata 2.0: nuova occupazione a Torino!
L’avevamo detto, l’abbiamo fatto. Con la Verdi Quindici Occupata non si
scherza: l’abbiamo dimostrato in dieci mesi di occupazione di via Verdi 15 e lo
rifacciamo presente a coloro che se ne fossero dimenticati, pensando che una
stupida sagra del manganello potesse mettere a tacere una realtà studentesca
come la nostra. ‘La Verdi Quindici non si tocca, la difenderemo con la lotta’
non è solamente il coro che ci ha accompagnato in questa settimana precaria per
le strade di Torino e per i corridoi di Palazzo Nuovo Occupato, è stato ed è
molto di più: abbiamo trasformato quelle parole in programma politico, in
promessa di battaglia fino all’ultimo respiro. Infatti siamo ancora qui, con un
nuovo spazio conquistato a due passi dalla nostra via Verdi 15, con addosso la
rabbia per uno spazio rubato da politicanti, speculatori e poliziotti ma anche
con la consapevolezza piena che la potenza e la forza di un’idea collettiva non
sta in quattro mura ma in coloro che le abitano.
A poco più di una settimana di distanza dallo sgombero di via Verdi abbiamo
una nuova casa e un nuovo spazio comune in vicolo Benevello, ancora più nel
cuore del quartiere dell’Università. Avevamo messo in guardia tutti dal
considerare la Verdi Quindici Occupata come un’esperienza conclusa, passata,
affossata dal fruscio del manganello, ammorbata dalle chiacchiere della
politica, minacciata dall’infamità delle speculazioni. La Verdi Quindici
Occupata rappresenta il presente e il futuro di una città che non vuole morire
nelle scorribande finanziarie dei poteri che comandano Torino ne tantomeno
nelle vetrine mediatiche che la politica confeziona per sopravvivere.
Ricominciamo da dove eravamo stati interrotti. La parentesi di una settimana
a Palazzo Nuovo ci è servita per proseguire un lavoro collettivo di discussione
e ragionamento sulla fase della crisi che stiamo vivendo in Università come in
città, quindi nel nostro paese. L’Università è tornata a dimostrare lo stato
della sua crisi come istituzione della formazione e del sapere, incapace di
prendere una posizione chiara sul programma di smantellamento del diritto allo
studio che l’Edisu sta portando a compimento per mano del presidente Umberto
Trabucco, seguendo il mandato imposto dal presidente leghista Roberto Cota.
Torino si è invece guadagnata, grazie al suo sindaco Piero Fassino, un’altra
figuraccia degna di essere ricordata: nella presunta città dei giovani, nella
fatiscente città universitaria, gli studenti vengono cacciati in strada – per
mano della polizia – senza un tetto e senza alcuna garanzia di poter continuare
a studiare.
Gli unici che si sfregano le mani sono gli speculatori e gli affaristi. La
Verdi è stata sgomberata con la giustificazione della ristrutturazione dello
stabile, per una sua rimessa in agibilità. La realtà delle cose, che solo i
bugiardi possono negare, è che il futuro degli stabilimenti dell’Edisu si trova
nella nebbia di un diritto che si vuole negare e di una cassa che si vuole
riempire: non vi è alcuna certezza che i due milioni di euro del ministero
arriveranno, e tantomeno vi è la garanzia che la Regione Piemonte metterà a
disposizione la metà mancante… anche perchè l’assessore Maccanti già un anno
fa aveva dichiarato che il diritto allo studio non è una priorità della sua
giunta, figuriamoci oggi nella voragine dei tagli per provare a far quadrare
bilanci che comunque non tornano! In questo contesto, chiedersi che fine farà
via Verdi 15 come tutti gli altri luoghi dello studio diventa immediatamente
campo di una battaglia per un diritto allo studio minacciato da
cartolarizzazioni, speculazioni e privatizzazioni in salsa italica.
La Verdi Quindici Occupata, prima di quanto ognuno potesse immaginare, più
forte di quanto si potesse credere, si è conquistata il suo nuovo spazio, per
continuare le battaglie di ieri, per immaginarne altre ancora. Anche perchè
noi, di lottare, non ci stanchiamo mai, e anche i momenti più difficili e
precari sono ragione di nuovi entusiasmi e ritrovate energie per un progetto
collettivo che si chiama Verdi Quindici Occupata.
